Easy Omelette recipe with Bacon and Cheddar Cheese - Keto friendly

There is nothing better than a Saturday morning omelette coupled with the smell of Fresh crisp bacon.

Keto friendly Bacon n Cheddar Cheese Omelette

Ingredients:
1. Eggs for Omelette (2 eggs)
2. Salt (as per taste), Red Chili powder (1/4th tsp), 3 green chilies chopped
3. 4-6 cloves of garlic, 1/2 inch piece of ginger, both finely chopped
4. One large onion chopped
5. Bacon strips (2 - 4 strips)
6. Cheddar Cheese (as per choice)
7. Basil leaves (handful)
8. Ghee or Oil


Recipe:
1. Fry the bacon in ghee or oil as desired. You will need about 2-4 strips depending on the size of the strips and how thin you want the omelette.
2. We like the bacon crisp but you can make it as per your liking
3. Prepare the omelette as per your liking
  • Put the eggs in a bowl, add salt, red chili powder and whisk till its frothy
  • Add chopped onions, chopped green chilies, chopped ginger and garlic (you can add any vegetable for your choice like capsicum, bell peppers, tomatoes, etc)
  • Mix well
  • Heat ghee or oil on a frying pan and then add the egg mix.
  • Flip when the lower side is semi cooked
4. When the omelette is half way ready and non-runny, add the bacon strips and layer with cheddar cheese and basil leaves as shown and fold the omelette
5. Continue cooking the omelette till you reach the desired consistency and serve. You can cover the pan to cook the omelette better.

What makes Starbucks different is their passion for coffee and nothing else. This week I took the opportunity to try out their famous "Pike Place Roast" brewed using a Pour Over filter.
